From Saturday, January 16, through Saturday, January 30, 2027, daily from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., For the second time, the park at the Resort Hof Weissbad will be transformed into a magical world of lights, delighting visitors with artistic light installations, gentle music, and an attractive culinary offering. Take a stroll along the loop trail through the park and marvel at fascinating light art and interactive installations. Whether as a family outing, a cozy evening with friends, or a special corporate event—the Appenzell Magic of Lights promises unforgettable moments in a sparkling winter landscape.

NOA – Not your average art

is a “multidisciplinary collective of artists, designers, and like-minded creatives, led by Primo Berera and Giancarlo Pallioppi. Since 2009, they have been creating unique works of art and powerful experiences for international clients and public institutions.”

GOOD TO KNOW

When staying overnight at the Resort Hof Weissbad, our hotel guests enjoy a Free admission to the Appenzell Magic of Lights during your stay.

The Magic of Lights is generally wheelchair-accessible and stroller-friendly—however, the path is not suitable in snowy or icy conditions.

At the end of the loop trail, guests can enjoy a variety of culinary offerings. Stalls featuring various culinary specialties, beverages, and sweets invite you to round out the evening in good company.

You can also visit one of our restaurants or our casual bistro. We recommend making a reservation in advance Table Reservation is recommended.

The Appenzell Magic of Lights will also take place in 2028.

Car

Parking is available at Bischofberger AG. Everything is well-signposted on site, and you’ll be guided to the right spot. The walk to the Appenzell Magic of Lights takes about 10 minutes and is atmospherically lit.

We recommend traveling by public transportation. The ticket price includes round-trip travel in 2nd class from all zones of the “TARIFVERBUND OSTWIND” fare network.

Classic Pavilion

A 20-minute “Magic of Lights Medley” is performed live in the park of the Resort Hof Weissbad. Daniel Moos (keyboards), Tea Vitali (violin), and Milo Ferrazzini (cello) present highlights from classical music, film, pop, and musicals.

From W.A. Mozart’s “Eine kleine Nachtmusik” to Édith Piaf’s “Hymne à l’amour,” to “Barcarolle” or “Someday My Prince Will Come” from Snow White, along with other surprises that will make their debut at “Lichterzauber 2027”—we’ve also selected some of our many young guests’ favorite songs…! The three internationally acclaimed musicians have arranged the medley for “Lichterzauber 2027” and guarantee a first-class, one-of-a-kind concert experience exclusive to the Hof Weissbad Resort—even at temperatures as low as –5 °C.
