Peace and relaxation in the middle of nature

The new bathing and sauna house is an independent building with special features – nature and architecture become a symbiotic whole and promise peace and enjoyment.

The spa is open to guests without having to leave the resort – the new bath and sauna house is easily accessible in a bathrobe via the covered walkway. The two-storey building, made entirely of spruce wood, is clad in lots of glass and the jagged shell is reminiscent of a cut diamond – or rather, an Alpine crystal.

Three saunas, Kneipp pools, various relaxation rooms, a fitness room, a natural swimming pool and a heated whirlpool have been created. The new spa lounge and the large sunbathing terrace invite you to linger and relax.

Saunas

The centrepiece of the new bath and sauna house is the upper floor with the 65°C bio sauna, the 90°C Finnish sauna and the steam bath. Both saunas have large windows that offer a view of the Appenzell hills and the Alpstein – in complete harmony with the unspoilt natural surroundings.

The various relaxation rooms offer relaxation after a sauna session.

Let yourself drift

The light-flooded bathhouse leads directly to the heated outdoor pool with 35°C warm water, a cosy bubble bath and a refreshing natural swimming pool.

Spa-Lounge

Enjoy with all your senses

The spa lounge is located on the ground floor of the sauna and bathhouse. On warm days, the outdoor area is opened and you can relax and enjoy the fresh Appenzell mountain air. Small snacks and vitamin-rich refreshments are available to satisfy small appetites.

The large sunbathing terrace with its unique view of the «Glandenstein» power place invites you to sunbathe and linger.

The fitness room provides power sessions. Fitness and relaxation courses are also offered to ground your thoughts and allow your heart rhythm to find its own rhythm again. Massages with local herbs and essential oils, beauty treatments, customised concepts for holistic relaxation (haki®) and fasting cures are just some of the special beauty and wellness treatments on offer at the Hof Weissbad resort.

Indoor and outdoor pool

The Glandenstein – directly behind the hotel – is home to two of the hotel’s own water springs. Let the 33-degree spring water and the view of the picturesque Appenzell landscape revitalise you. Draw strength and energy from the naturally pure spring water with its valuable minerals and trace elements, which boost the metabolism and strengthen the body’s defences.
